Cerrillos Turquoise is some of the oldest turquoise in North America, dating back to 900AD. These gorgeous stone is where Tiffany & Co. got their signature blue color from. Most of the commercial mines were tapped out by the beginning of the 20th century, so access is limited. Most mines are privately owned now. These specific ones were mined along the turquoise trail, about 25 minutes south of santa fe new mexico.
