Bumblebee Jasper (not actually a jasper stone) is a calcium carbonate mineral with inclusions of arsenic and manganese oxides. The banding and layering is caused by inclusions of sulfur (the yellow), calcium/argonite (the white), and pyrite (the black). This mineral was recently discovered in the 90’s in Papandayan Volcano in Indonesia. It has yet to be found anywhere else on Earth. It’s extremely rare and cherished for that exact reason.
